Will Eibachs work for me?

I have OEM ZO6 wheels with no spacer plates. i want my car to have the stance like the "Intimidator SS" i see that GMMG used the eibach 1.5 inch drop springs. i like the stance and would like to make this work. They say that on some of them they use "progressive rate" springs. What exactly does this mean?
Are these the best springs to use, and do i have to get new shocks to use these? thanks guys.
Oh yeah, the rear wheels have the 275/40/18.

1st i have the same rims as your do and they rock.
2nd progressive rate means when when your just driving normally around town and stuff, the springs are reasonably soft and don't make the ride really tight, but when you start to turn hard on the corners, the springs get compressed even more, and that part of the springs have a tighter coil on them, making the ride harder. in short, they get harder the harder you drive, quit nice.
3rd- best spring vaires from person to person, i have 1" hotchkis
4th - no shocks

That all sounds good. maybe i should look at hotchkiss then. did you get the panhard rod too to make the rear end even?

4th, you don't HAVE to get new shocks but you're well advised to. Stock shocks are barely adequate for stock springs and are totally inadequate for stiffer and lower springs. So ya, stock shocks will work but your ride quality and handling ability will suffer.

Do a search for Eibiotch on tech and see how many people complain about the rears settling.

You should look into an adj. panhard bard too.

Your rear tires are too tall. They should be 275/35/18 not 275/40/18, your speedometer is about 5% off.

Your going to have to hammer the back inner wheel wells here and there because I bet your going to get some rubbing. Since you have a 10.5 in the back, maybe you should be riding on 295/35 instead of 275/40.

Yeah, i wasnt sure about the stock springs, i guess that depends on how much cash i have at the time. And by the way, i had the speedo corrected, so its not off now. thanks for the heads up though. my next set will be 295/35.
