I just test fit the BMR k member on my white Z and I have a problem. If the front 2 bolts on each side are installed finger tight, the rear hole on each side is about 3/4" from the body of the car. If I were to tighten it, I'd bend the plate for the rear lower control arm mount.

I have a really bad feeling my car won't be going together this weekend as I am guessing this K member was welded up wrong...

What are your thoughts??

Here is what it looks like on both sides. The other 4 bolts are finger tight and the k member sits flush with the car on all 4 of those spots....

I just installed one this weekend in our 94. I had kind of the same problem on one side and about half as severe as your picture. I was kicking around putting an additional spacer on that side.

i'm trying too remember if i used washers too space mine out or not...i dont think i did
its been like 2 years tho.

have you contacted BMR yet about it?

you are the 1st that i have read of an issue like that with one....from what i remember

 

I just bolted it up there on Saturday night so I have not yet called them. I have their number written down and plan on calling them this morning.
