When I try to launch hard in my 99 Z28 M6, I get a lot of wheel hop and chatter from the rear end. After doing a little research, I think what I need is a torque arm. Does this sound right?

 

Only if you're putting down enough power to deform the stock torque arm, or the front bushing. LCA's may need to be upgraded to get rid of the sloppy rubber bushings. And LCA relocation brackets go a long way toward minimizing wheel hop.

 

After doing some quick research, I see that LCA relocation is a very good suggestion. Thanks for the advice

 

i'd start with the small stuff....the torque arm bushing and the LCAs...

if that cures it...no need for the relocation brackets

 

The small stuff is a great idea and boxed lca maybe able to get from SLP.

just pony up for some tubular poly/rubber units from BMR...nice street compromise

 

You can get boxed steel Lakewood's with poly bushings from Summit for around $90

 

We'd suggest spohn LCA's with relocation brackets. Get combo and the pricing is excellent.
