I am looking for the first mod in chassis/suspension that i should do to my car to get it to hook up at the track or when i nail into it during daily driving. I already have MT ET Streets for the track but i need to know what the very first part i should purchase (i.e. LCA's, PHB, SFC's, etc) that will give me the most traction. Expecting 450RWHP through stalled A4(3800) and stock 10-bolt. Oh yea i already have a Spohn TA as well.

i see that the weld on ones are the one greatly recommended.... how is clearance issues/exhuast issues... may get them very soon

tubular - no clearence issuses, not as strong as the boxed
boxed - stronger, may have clearence issues
diamond - may have ground and exhaust issues

 

Boxed only robbs about .5" of clearance. No big deal.


Since you already have a TA, SFC's would probably be a good compliment.

If you can afford it, get some LCA's as well. It really helped my traction. I got some tubular chromoly BMR's. They were just over $100.

I would say that new LCA's would be the best traction mod. It will shave time off your 60' .... which evolves into lower ET's.

SFC's and STB are great for lateral motion and tightening the chassis in general, but I wouldn't think they would be the first thing for traction. ???

 

Suspension mods? I aint got none...LOL . I run a 1.67 60 ft. time with only the removal of the front sway bar, and a set of ET Streets.
I don't have aftermarket LCA's, torque arm, shocks, or springs...It's all original 96,000 mile stuff. BTW, my car doesn't have subframe connectors either.
