Rear Brakes?

I have to replace my rear brakes at some point...
I was thinking of replacing the stock rears with a set of "Baer" (to match my front brakes) cross drilled/slotted brakes...
If i remember correctly the rear brakes only do about 10-15% of the braking of the car. So would i notice much of a difference with upgraded brakes or would it pretty much be for looks?
Oh, and its for a 96Z

Is this a track car? Regardless, I don't think you'll notice a big difference. There's a separate forum for these where you might get better answers btw.

I'd say put a set of slotted rotors and a set of hawk pads on the back. That would cost you around 200 bucks and give a bump in stopping. The rear brakes don't do as much as the front but slotted rotors are less likely to lock up. I did the LS1 conversion on my front with powerslot rotors/hawk pads. I was so impressed with the safty factor that I got the same rotors/pads for the back. No point in going fast if you can't stop IMO.

You won't notice a drastic difference, if you did it, it would be more or less cosmetic related.

Are your fronts stock size or larger? If larger, a cheaper alternative would be to go with some LS1 rotors that match the Baer pattern.
