raising the backend??

good evening everyone,
I wanted to know the easiest and cheapest way to raise the back end of my z28.. i used to have bigger tires on the back but decided the get all 4 of the same to allow for longer tread life.. well i miss the bigger tires now because it just looks so much meaner with the back end up a little bit.. any suggestions??
thanks in advance

If you're just looking to raise the rear of the car, then a set of air bags from Air lift will accomplish this:

www.airliftcompany.com

They install in the rear coil springs.

Air bags are an excellent method of providing adjustable rear end lift.
If you want a less expensive and easier, but not adjustable, to install method.

Those boosters are really bad for the spring. They isolate compression to a small spot and don't let the whole spring work like it should. This will cause localized fatigue. If you ever unload the rear spring enough, they will often just fall out, anyway. Those things should be reserved for use on your beater.

I agree they isolate compression to areas of the spring where the spacers are not in place and therefore the spring is not acting as the designers intended.
I've been using them for 3 years now(probably 40,000 miles-Me and my Z travel) and they haven't shifted or fallen out.Even with the rear end hanging, they're still snug enough to stay in place.
I have and used air bags with the preferred method of raising the rear are air bags.

I have one side that was about 1/2" lower than the other and my 315s would rub. I shoved heater hose on both the top and bottom of the spring and it did raise it almost a 1/2" but still get the occassional rub.

I replaced the originals with 1LE rears a few months back but it made no difference in height on either side...pass side was still 1/2" lower...

I'm thinking of cutting the bottom and/or top coil ring off my old springs and spot welding them onto the new springs to give it more height that way and see what happens, both sides could use an extra 1/2" clearence...if that doesn't work then I may try these:

How large a tire are you trying to run? I've run 28's with no problem. The Eibach Drag Launch springs raise the back end about 1/2" if you need more than that, but once you go over 28", clearance to the fender wheel opening can be a problem.
