Question on Dirty Rear ABS Sensor

I just started having the Low Trac light, false ABS kick in start happening this morning. After searching it looks like the most common cause is a dirty rear ABS sensor in the diff. Just one question. After I clean it, how far do I screw it back in? Do I simply snug it down? Snug it down then back it off a turn or what?

Thanks.

Its been 9 years since my stock rear axle assembly was removed, but I think the sensor just pushes into the hole in the diff, and there's a single bolt that holds it down. I don't recall any adjustability. Now the sensor for the Strange 12-bolt is adjustable, but you didn't give us any info regarding your car. Year and any major mods would be good items to include.
