I just purchased Eibach Drag launch spring set. front and back springs. I once heard on camaroz28.com a while ago that the front eibach drag springs do not fit with the front QA1 shocks. ??? is this true? if so why? and if so what shocks do i need to upgrade to? I want the best.

 

I beleive they will work, but you have to buy a custom bottom cup to use stock type springs. or, you can just sell those springs and get the drag springs from HAL that were made for them. I think they're like 275lb sprimgs if im not mistaken. go here

as Ive just found out, get a GOOD spanner wrench to make adj.s with. the cheap little one I got is horrible.

The seats on the QA1 shocks are a smaller diameter than the stock (or Eibach) springs, so the spring won't sit on the seat. The QA1 drag springs are a smaller diameter at the bottom, to sit on the smaller seat.

You can modify the stock spring seat yourself. Shoebox has one method and some pics. I have an drawing of another method, and also a link to Shoebox's pic. The main difference was he cut his with a saw, and I had mine chocked in a lathe and cut down.
