Need help with brace.

When installing my custom y-pipe, we had to take off a brace(don't remember the name of it). It has 4 bolts, 2 on each side, and now it won't fit because the y-pipe is too low. The car seems to flex more without it on. Is there any way to alter it? Maybe cut the middle out, fab up a new middle piece and weld it in?

I just got done spending a bunch of money on my car and it still doesn't really seem too fast.

I think it was called the G-load, or G-force, or G-Unit (just kidding)
brace.

G-unnn-it!!

Was this brace behind the transmission and near the yolk? If so thats commonly refered to as the "G brace". BMR sells a tubular version as it does prevent (some) flex. I would indeed fab/machine something up that cleared the pipe. Either that or buy a STB and some SFC's, which are'nt a bad idea anyway.

STB = Strut Tower Brace. I don't really see how the lack of that stock, spindly, G-brace is causing noticable flex, esp. considering you already have SFC's.

I'd just fab one up that cleared.

the stock one is pretty flimsy, but can do alot, but with SFC you shouldnt be able to notice it.

I had mine off for 3 days and couldnt tell a difference.

Again we agree. Like I hinted above, since you have SFC's I think it's just in your head. But to be safe, weld up a custom bar out of metal plate and square tubing.
