Spohn TA and Hooker LTs

Just installed the Spohn TA with spherical rod ends, nice piece by the way, and it does fit but the clearances are very tight around the y-pipe. I have Hooker LT's connected to a 3" Flowmaster y-pipe. The y-pipe has about an 1/8" clearance on the top, (driveshaft loop), and about the same above the crossmember brace. It's going to rattle when I start my car and I'm not sure what I can do. The y-pipe was welded to the stock crossmember, something that I never did like, to keep it from hitting the driveshaft. That's not going to be a problem this time because new tranny and motor mounts lifted the engine enough so that there is more clearance.

Any ideas on what to do about the y-pipe clearance issue. I was thinking of wedging something in between the y-pipe and the brace. Maybe even a wood shim, at least then I wouldn't be listening to metal to metal contact when the engine vibrates.

I had the same issue. What I did was shim the cross member with washers to get more clearance.
