You need at least a single-adjustable panhard rod when you lower your car. If you already have one you're good to go. If not, try UMI, BMR, or ebay (I saw an aluminum PHR and LCA set that made me drool once on ebay). Have fun with the Eibach and Bilstein components, they're excellent.

I lowered my 94 z with eibachs prokit. I had no probs running a non adjustable panhard bar.

The panhard bar connects to the frame on one end and the body on the other. When you lower the car the body will shift (when looking from the back) and can cause the rear axle not to be centered under the body. This can cause tire rubbing. An adjustable PHB allows you to center the body over the axle. It's very easy to install.

Yes it is a very easy install with only two bolts.

i'll just order a hotckis one...going to get a STB anyway, might as well order it all at once.

I'm sure you meant to say it goes from the rear axle assembly on the driver's side to the body on the passenger side.

If you work the geometry, dropping the body 1" will move the body 0.10" to the passenger side, relative to the rear axle assembly. Whether that is a problem depends on how correctly the body was spaced side-to-side over the rear axle when the car was assembled. The objective is to have the body centered over the rear axle when the car is at rest. You can measure from the inside edge of the wheel rim to a fixed point on the chassis. Do this on both sides, and see if the spacing is equal on both sides. If it isn't you need to adjust the length of the panhard bar until the spacing on the drivers side and the passenger side are equal.

when adjusting the PHB. do the wheels have to be off of the ground? (ramps or jack stands)

Fred, thanks for correcting my error.

It should be with the suspension loaded...
