you might wanna buy a hanes repair manual for your car, they have detailed information on how to address, and repair many things on your car so you can get back to being nutty

Re: HELP!....My E-brake doesnt work.....HELP!

first get under the car and take a look at the cables

if you have rear drums, jack it up take off one wheel at a time and have someone pull the ebrake as you watch the assembly

if it moves slightly but not far enough, then it just needs to be adjusted, may have stretched the cable over time
if it doesnt move at all, you may have snapped a cable

next, follow both cables from either side of the axle to where they meet in the driveshaft tunnel above the driveshaft and torque arm
make sure none of the cables snapped

make sure the cable from the e-brake handle to this union hasnt snapped either
if all cables are good and have not snapped, then you have to tighten the adjuster nut on the union

major P.I.T.A.

i recommend getting a ratcheting 13mm wrench to use with either vice grips or a 1/4 in open end wrench
i advise you to unbolt the driveshaft and even take it out before you attempt to get your hands in there, i'm a fairly thin guy and i had a terrible time doing this
