handling problems

i own a 01 camaro z28 ss and when i travel on uneven roads the car wants to sway, also if there are any grooves in the road it wants to follow the grooves in the road. the car has only 26,000 miles on it and i was woundering if this is a typical problem with camaro's or not. It does have 275 40 17 inch tires on it. Was also woundering it a tube strut tower helps this matter any help would be appriciated thanks

The syndrome you describe is called "tracking". To a degree it goes with the territory with wide tread tires.

I'll move this over there. It surely doesn't belong here.

My car does the same thing. I think its just because of the wide tires. I have noticed that the deeper the dip I am driving in the harder it will pull to that. In my car its not that big of a problem when I'm driving. It is very controllable. I have a 2000 Camaro SS. I also have the same tires you have.

handling

so is this even the case in corvettes too? Or any sports car that has wide tires? Is there a fix for it?

Sounds like the tires to me. I had a set of Pirelli p-zero rossos a few years back, and they made the car really nervous on uneven roads. When I changed the tires the problem went away.
