Girdle or LCA's?

I posted this in drivetrain, but maybe I should have put it here

I want to get my car to the track, but am extremely scared of blowing my rear again. I don't have the money for a 9" right now, and was wondering if the T/A girdle was a good way to go, or if I should just throw money into suspension like some LCA's and a PHR from UMI or BMR.

Also, if I get a 9" down the road, do the suspension parts have to be adjustable for the conversion to work? I read somewhere the 9" sits off center so you have to adjust them, is this true, or is this fixed with the kit from Moser?

The car is used mainly for street, not quite a daily driver, but close enough. It's a 95Z, makes 330 lbft at the wheels, and has a T-56 with a SPEC Stage 2.

Re: Girdle or LCA's?

If you go with a 9" you'll need an aftermarket TA drilled for both 10/12 bolt and 9" rear holes. As you stated the 9" center section is offset to the drivers side and the new TA's mounting holes will correct the problem...

A rear TA style girdle may help a little, but M6s are just hard on rears. If you want to go fast you'll need to get a stronger rear...You may also want to look at the S60 from Strange...extremely strong and takes less power to turn than a 9"...

I understand your pain. If youre that scared then dont run it. I say run it and enjoy it. If it happens it happens. Dont fear the reaper.
