Power steering leak

I noticed that my power steering pump is just loaded with what looks to be power steering fluid. Is it possible for the pump or a seal to go bad causing such a leak.

The pump doesnt make any noises and i dont have any weird feeling from the steering wheel.

What hasn't gone wrong on your car yet?

Check the hoses. When the wheel is turned it obviously puts pressure to one line or the other going into the rack & pinion. The force is pretty strong, and could seep through small holes. Yes it is possible for the pump to go bad, and not feel any signs of it until it actually dies.
