eibach lowering sportline springs ?

Hey guys so I lowered my car 1.8 inches front and back but now it feels like crap. It feels like the car is going to fall apart. Is there anyway that I can fix it without having to put the stock springs back? I have edelbrock shocks in the rear, and stock ones in the front. I do have a set of bilsteins for the front I'm going to put this week

Re: eibach lowering sportline springs ?

Surely you did not think that losing almost 2 inches of spring travel, your Camaro would ride the same as a car at stock height. Coupled that with your aftermarket wheels (they look like 18"), as opposed to 17" wheels, and you're in for for a rough ride. I am not familiar with Edelbrock shocks, but Bilsteins on all for corners would definitely help. I can tell you from personal experience that Monroe shocks does not last long on a lowered vehicle (but they are cheaper and DO come with a lifetime warranty). Slap those Bilsteins on there, lower your comfort expectations just a tad, and enjoy the improved handling. I am sure women do not like wearing push-up bra's, but they do look nice in them.

Re: eibach lowering sportline springs ?

I, too, had to learn that lesson the hard way. I used Eibach springs, but cheap replacement shocks to lower my Z28 and I ended up hating to drive the thing. It took me almost a year to save up the $1200-$1500 or so to do it right, but I then went with Strano springs, Koni adjustable shocks, LCA relocation brackets, and adjustable panhard bar and I can dial the car in to how I want it to drive. I originally lowered it when I was on 17's, but I'm now on 18's and I'm still happy how well it drives and handles!
