Car pulls in rutts hard
Car pulls in rutts hard
Ive had numerous f-bodies and my 95 i am driving right now is one of the worst at staying controllable on the road. it grabs and pulls in every little rutt on the pavement. what can i do to help this, it has to be something cause my cars have never done this before.
275's 40 17s on all 4 corners

Re: Car pulls in rutts hard
My car did that too when I had 275's up front- I dropped to a 245/45r17 and it seemed to help quite a bit.
IMO- a 275 up front is a little overkill for daily driving- even simple things like parking lot maneuvers are easier with the 245's up front. Every time I have gone out and had some spirited driving, the back-end always steps out first, even with the staggered tires.
Also- have your alignment checked. It doesn't take much throw off the handling of a vehicle.

Re: Car pulls in rutts hard
yes it should but does it doesn't follow the ruts in the road anymore.I have 17s in 17x8.5 in front and 18x10 in rear so i can't rotate them anyhow.
Re: Car pulls in rutts hard
What size tires do you have on the 17x8.5" front wheels? If they are 275 they are too wide for the wheels. Why not just use a narrower tire, that provides full tread patch contact for maximum traction, and will wear uniformly, extending tire life. Makes no sense to me to intentionally overinflate the front tires, wear them out prematurely, reduce the tread patch and traction.....
I've been running 275's in the front for 16 years and while I am aware that they do "tramline", it's never really been a problem, even with the 315's I added in the back 11 years ago.
