Camber with Sportlines?

I've been considering ditching my Pro-Kit for the Sportlines and was wondering what would have to be done to get my camber right so I won't be eating front tires up?

Sport lines have less spring rate and will lower the car even more.

Are you eating the outside edge on the tires, if so you will need more neg camber to stop this.

I don't have them on my car yet but I know they'll give me more of a drop than the Pro-Kit I have now. I was wondering if I'll need to get a camber kit or not and if anyone has any specs that would be good to run to keep me from eating up my front tires when I do install them.

Re: Camber with Sportlines?

I had the front end down 1.8" - a combination of the Pro-Kit springs and the lower seats on the QA1/HAL's being dropped. They were able to align the front end to my specs ( -1deg camber, +4deg caster, 0.1 toe-in) using only the stock adjustments provided on the lower A-arms. The alignment held well, and there was no unusual wear, running 275/40-17's.

There are suggestions for alignments on lowered cars in the 4th Gen FAQ's.

Camber plates are for strut style suspension, like Mustangs.

Re: Camber with Sportlines?

I use to have Sportline springs and I wouldn't use them again. They're too low for the spring rate and you end up running out of suspension travel. Stay with the Pro Kit.

Suspension alignment will depend on what you do with your car and how you drive. If it's simply a street car then hust have it re-aligned to factory specs.

Are your tires wearing funny now?

Re: Camber with Sportlines?

No my tires aren't wearing funny now, they're fine with the Pro-Kit. I'm planning on getting a set of Pacesetter LTs for my car so I really don't know if I can use the Sportlines with those.

I wanted to go the the G2 super springs that lower the car 1.5" in the front and 1.8" in the back because I'm really looking to drop the car a bit more in the back to level it up. I went on LG Motorsports website looking for them and they don't have them listed anymore. Does anybody know where I can find the G2 springs?

Personally, I would use Ground Control coilovers in the front and adjutable spring perches in the rear and then you could set it for whatever height you want. On top of that, you have your choice of spring rates depending on your driving style.

Could I use the Ground Control adjustable rear spring perches with my Eibach Pro-Kit I have now? All I really want to do to my car is crop it a little bit more in the back, this may be the set up I'm looking for.
