Bump stop removal?

Is it safe to remove the bump stops? My bump stops catch the inner edge of my wheels, and I'm just worried about the bump stops scratching or nicking them. So I was just wondering if it's safe to just remove them totally. Thanks.

Re: Bump stop removal?

The bump stops protect against metal to metal contact when your rear goes over a bump. I suggest grinding off some of the bump stop material (make it thinner) to prevent it from scratching your rims.
