Brake light on - no rear bleeding - front wheels holded (braked)

Hello all, I have an automatic cámaro 1997 3800 series ll. 3 months ago the wheels start feeling like "braked" just sometimes. Two weeks ago the "brake light got on" (only that light, the abs light is off). Today I have already made service to all wheels and changed the brake pump. Then start bleeding the rear valve and then the front valve in the Abs module (as the handbook says). Then go to the rear left wheel but it never shows any brake liquid... (I have tried for 1 hour as minimum...)

Im sure the problem would be in the Abs module, but I have tried to get in with an scann tool (cj6 and launch) but I can not get in the module, so I can not make trials with the scanner.

Has anybody had a similar problem? How do you solve it?

Thanks for your apreciate comments.

By “brake pump” do you mean master cylinder? If so did you bench bleed the new master cylinder? At that point you need to bleed the lines from the master to the ABS unit. The procedure gets complicated, and may involve “homing” the ABS unit if the amber brake warning light is on, or there are trouble codes present.

You mention “handbook” - do you mean the factory service manual? If you don’t have that manual download a free copy. Go to the correct section 5E1 if your system is ABS only, or section 5E2 if your system is ABS + traction control. The 1996 manual should be similar to 1997.

The red “BRAKE” light can indicate a difference in pressure between the front and rear braking circuits - fluid leak, air in system, etc.
