My Chiltons indicates the EBCM is behind the lower sound insulator panel, under driver's side dash. For some reason, it indicates if you have a manual tranny, you also have to remove the driver's side kick panel also. There's a screw holding the right side of the EBCM to the upper instrument panel channel, and a push-pin that holds the left side to the kick panel. Instructions say the head has to be cut off the push-pin to get the EBCM out.
Never touched it, so I have no idea how accurate all this is.

I just replaced the EBCM in a 94 auto- it's not difficult. I removed the kick panel, the panel thats parallel to the floor and a single nut to drop the bracing that holds the EBCM up. The bracket is slotted to slide over the push pin.
As far as the lights, unplug the brake control module under the dash and splice into the light green, dark blue and tan and white wires, ground them all. No more lights.
I will give this a try.
Thanks
I understand there are two or three screws under the large plastic dash cover. You have to lift it to gain access to them. That is when the cover breaks. I have no personal experience with this but dont want to take the risk of braking the cover. Seem to be getting hard to get.
Is there another way around this?

Ya- the dash cover has to popped up to get access to the 3 screws that hold the cluster surround on. And if you don't put them back in you will have lots of rattles.
I took my dash pad in and out numerous times without breaking it. You just have to be careful and ensure you aren't forcing it. If you take the a-pillar trim with it at the same time as trying to pull the dash cover out it will make it a lot easier as well.
