abs delete questions

i want to delete my abs. i was thinking about the sjm kit, but if i can do it cheaper myself then why not? i also want to install a line lock. for everthing to work properly what all needs to be done? for the rear line, just come out of the master into a prop valve, then out to the rear? for the front just come out of the master into the line lock then it has two outlets, one to each wheel. is all this correct? this is what ive gathered from photos ive found. thanks guys!!

anyone? ive been doing more research and ive seen some guys are not running the prop valve. im starting to lean that way, if my fronts will lock before my rears then its all good. i dont mind not having one. is that safe?

It sounds like you have it figured out. on a street car you most likely need a prop valve. I'm not running one on my car but I also have a manual master cylinder.

If you want to replace the two front lines, that connect to your rubber hoses, completely you can get a fitting at NAPA that changes it from the metric thread to a standard 3/16 double flare.

Heres a quick right up I did a while back on my car.

welll i cut all my lines up today, and yanked that ugly thing out. ill wait till my engines out to do the rest of the plumbing with the line lock and what not. but the wires, theres 3 small(2 wire) connectors, and one large(maybe 8 wire) connector, ill have the abs light programed out in my tune. so can i just follow these wires back as far as i can, and just cut them all off? then just tape the ends seprately???? thanks guys

You can't "tune out" the ABS.... its not controlled by the PCM. You simply remove the EBCM computer that controls it.

Just did this to mine, used the SJM kit and it was great. I know I could have hunted and worked on it to do it myself but man it was so much easier and a lot less headache using their kit. I strongly recommend it. And when you flare your lines, be sure to bevel the inside AND outside edges. The rear line was a pain and still my have to end up redoing it. But like I said, SJM is well worth the money. As far as the lights, unplug the brake control module under the dash and splice into the light green, dark blue and tan and white wires, ground them all. No more lights.
