ABS Delete - Line Lock

I did some searching and couldnt turn anything up on ABS delete. I basically want to delete ABS, but if I remember correctly alot of folks were able to add line lock and/or a proportioning valve during the removal. My ABS hasnt worked in 2-3 years, so I'm not going to miss it.

So who's done it and got some tips, tricks, or install help?

I eliminated abs on a 97ss MM6 and installed C5 front brakes.
I purchased a convertion kit but that was a mistake. Buy your own components from a good auto store.
Summit sells a proportion valve for lower cost than a kit.
Purchase a quality brake flairing tool kit. Cheap tool will allow the tube to slip upon flairing load.
I removed the bcm. The light green wire should be tied to ground for dis-able of the dash light.
I purchased 1/4" line from an auto-store and re-plumbed the rear brake line due to stock size being metric. Most auto parts stores also have all the fittings.
I fabbed a brake bleed set-up with 1/4" plastic tube. Bleed long brake paths first, to, short lengths.
I re-used my stock front brake lines.

Did you happen to tie-in a line lock?

You dont happen to know what size/style fittings are needed do you?

I must have judged you wrong, because I thought you were a poor man like me. I'm not buying any kit for this, all homemade, just like I did everything else on the car.

Tip #1: Don't skimp on the flaring tool.

I'm going to delete my ABS, but I dont want to buy that kit and I don't care about a linelock. All I need to do is add a proportioning valve? do i need a specific kind or anything? does it need to be adjustable?

I was looking at some today at Sears and Habor Freight. What style is the best, or where should I look to find one? Double Flaring?

You can get a Proportioning valve from Summit for $3X.XX. I'm not sure if you need both if you run line lock, someone was saying if you have good front brakes you dont need it.

I dont know for sure, I'm still reading up on all of this.

without the proportioning valve you won't get the front brake bias. You'll need/want the valve.
