Re: 96 brake issues

Did you scan for DTCs?

Your Electronic Brake Traction Control Module (EBTCM) stores Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) that can be read with a scan tool connected to your Data Link Connector (DLC) under your dash. My service manual says you need a Tech 1 scan tool, not sure if other will work.

If you can provide DTCs, we can look up the codes from the factory service manual.

Re: 96 brake issues

Surprisingly, Scan9495 will read the 1996 ABS codes.
