4-link question
Lift Bars work just as well as 4 link.
Will lift bars like these here work just as well as a 4 link. I want to get as much traction as possible and not spin at the line so I'm looking at the different routes I could take. I'm not sure but a 4 link suspension looks like it would take too much work/ mods to work in a street/strip car. I'll have a 12 bolt rear so there's no worry there.
Or should I go with a 4-link
like this.

Do a search on 'Lakewood traction bars'.Comments, for the majority, have not been favorable.LCA relocation brackets will accomplish the same effect. The 'clamping' method that Lakewood uses to mount to the axle tubes is not very positive and secure and rotation of the axle tubes in that 'clamp' will occur.

Looks like the Lakewood idea isn't worth the trouble and probably don't need a 4 link suspension yet.
So these have been recommended to me from another board.

Whats anyones opinion on these.

Re: 4-link question
I honestly would just get aftermarket LCAs, PHR, and a trac-kit Torque Arm kit (One that relocates the front mounting). After that, you should be all set for traction as long as your tires hold up.
There are plenty of cars out there with stock style suspension pulling low 1.x 60' marks.
That wolfecraft link was to a universal sway bar, typically used on 4-link style suspensions, nothing you really need.

Re: 4-link question
Would just getting the aftermarket LCAs, PHR, and a trac-kit Torque Arm kit be able to handle a lot of torgue and horsepower? I guess I should have stated what my power plans are in the first post. I'm planning on having 550 hp/ 500 ft lbs torque. I'll be running a turbo 350 transmission with a trans brake. I wanna make sure the car is going to go straight because the front wheels may come up at the line (once I get the car to hock up good).
Re: 4-link question
yea, that setup will hold plenty of power, I've seen guys with double that amount of HP and stock style suspensions run low 9's with not too much issues. I would defenetly invest in a set of subframes and a rollbar as well, both of those will stiffen the car up to lessen the flex. Not to mention Subframes are required for the Trac-kit, the TA has a crossmember that welds to the subframes for the new front pivot point/mount.
