Re: TCI Converters & Shift Kits On Special @ Texas Speed
The special will be good through the end of January.
This special only applies to the TCI torque converters. I have tried 13 different torque converters in LS1's, including Yank, Vigilante, and TCI. We prefer TCI for the excellent performance and UNMATCHED customer service! Feel free to e-mail me with the converter you're looking at, and I can give you some real comparisons between different converters. I've had everything from a 2800 stall speed up to a 4600, so I can tell you what you can realistically expect in differences between converters.

Re: TCI Converters & Shift Kits On Special @ Texas Speed
For autocrossing, you certainly won't want to go with too high of a stall speed. A higher stall will certainly help you out of the corners. It will eliminate a lot of the dead spots found in the lower RPM's. Shoot me an e-mail at trevor@texas-speed.com with a little more info on how your car is setup, what kind of tires you're running when autocrossing, etc., and I'll help you pick the best converter for your needs.

I'll just add that TCI has a GREAT converter program going, some of the very fastest cars are running TCI converters and I wouldn't be afraid to try one.. (I have a Chance converter, but TCI has a good thing going).
