How about an LT1-LS1 Manual Fan Switch GP?
i also didn't use the clips, i spliced into the wires themselves, well i guess some time i'll resolder the wires to the switch
also are the led's suppose to come on when the switch is in the middle and the computer is controling the fans?

I put mine in today into my 94 Z28 6 speed. I chose the panel to the right of the steering wheel where it looks like a rocker switch goes (maybe for the rear window defrost?). I had to grind down the backside because it's so thick, but that wasn't a problem.
The only problem I had was the green wire was about 4 inches too short when you choose this location. Just happened to have some more green wire, so added some more. I used the blue slice things without a problem (added tape over the top for reassurance. I also spliced into the hot to the stereo so I have to have the key on to run the fans. My kid drives the car the most and I could see him leaving them on while he was at school and not have the car start when he gets back.
Overall, a very nice kit.
Thanks,
Glenn

Well, I just installed mine..looks great but I'm having problems.
First, I dont think my problems are because of a defective product, I think the person who owned the car before me did some crazy rewiring of the fans to *TRY* to fix his overheating problems (turned out to be a blown head gasket) Anyways...With the car completely off, both LED's are on all the time, turn the key to the ON position and they go off, and come on depending on where the switch is, like they're suppose to. Start the car and they still work right, but after the car's been running for about 5-10 seconds both lights come on as do both fans. I don't think this is normal for a cold car (hadnt been started in a week). I think the car has always done this, I just wasnt sure if it was normal or not..and obviously it never overheated so it wasnt a problem to me
. Using freescan, I made sure the PCM was seeing the right water temperature, it was. Does anybody have a wiring diagram so I can start tracing this problem or any idea why its doing this? Thanks in advance.
Carson
Edit: I forgot to mention, when the key is off and both fans LED's are on, neither fan is on, and the switch doesn't have any affect on them.

hmm yeah, it does kinda sound like he must have done something with the wiring before.... cause my fans dont do that, and they also work fine, is it possible that perhaps u got the wrong switch in the mail?
I suppose its possible...but they've always turned on high regardless of the water temp, so something isn't right to begin with. I think I got the right switch since it works perfect the key in the ON position but engine not running.

Which underhood connector to tap into?
I bought the fan switch. It seems simple enough to install, except the picture of the underhood connectors show 3 connectors. My car, a '96 Formula, has only 2 connectors, one of which is larger than the other, and they are side by side. They have the same color wires going into them. Anyone know which connector I tap into?
Not sure if I can help because I have a 1994, but in mine, the connector was actually attached to the side of the PCM. It did have the correct markings on the connector and the correct color wires. My installation worked great.
Good Luck,
