I scanned my 94 last night and didn't get any codes. I installed the fan switch a week ago.

 

Is your car OBDI or II? Either way, that's strange. I don't know why it would throw any codes


A little off topic.......but, could you guys that have installed these kits post some pictures if you have them? I need as many as I can get for a class web design project.

hey notstock.. I'll upload some pics that I took of my fan switch install, including routing diagrams, etc. They'll be on my website when i get a chance.

 

My car is an obd1 so i don't know whats going on.

 

Did you select OBDII by accident when ordering the switch?

 

nope, it says obd1 on the sheet, the car is not showing a check engine light, i just scaned it the other day for the hell of it, i still have my knock problem, but thats a different story

 

will it work on a 93z? i have an ecm not a pcm like it was saying in the description.

 

I installed mine about two weeks ago and the first few hours of driving around I got an SES light as well. But after parking it overnite and then going about my usual business the following day, the light went away and hasn't appeared since.

Overall a good deal, easy to install, and except for that one time, it hasn't affected the computer at all. I am having my fan's on/off temp. reprogrammed right along with my tuning from madz28, so this switch will basically be used only when I'm trying to cool down between runs at the track.

 

Is it too late to get in on this? If not count me in.

anyone got any clues where i can get my car tuned? im in dothan alabama, maybe atlanta? i need some work done thats for sure, i got a cam in the mail today and some other stuff, gonna save up and buy headers soon and then get the catback system
