Custom SSI

I am sorry to report this but it looks like I have been ripped off by one of our vendors. I ordered a Strange S60 about 7 weeks ago and Custom SSI has been blaming the delays on Strange. Last Monday Josh at Custom SSI said he spoke with strange and it would ship out Thursday, he would verify it on wednesday and give me a call. Well after sending PMs and 4 voice messages still no reply from CSSI. So I called Strange direct and they do not have any record of my order. Now what should I do??? If anything changes I will post it but untill then BEWARE

PM sent.... There is some miscommunication going on here for sure, and we will be trying to get it resolved.. You did recieve your DS and shift light correct?

Dunno about SSI, but I do know Strange can be a PITA to deal with; they seem to take forever to do anything, and people don't seem to be able to figure out what's going on.

Took me like 8-9 weeks to get my 12-bolt when I bought that.

Strange found my order. It had been pulled due to the fact they had not recieved payment from Josh. He claims he sent another payment, so I should know for sure tomorrow. If not I will be getting a refund and searching for a vendor that can take care of the order. I will post tomorrow with a update.

Still nothing really to update. Josh sent me another very vague pm saying everything has been taken care of, but no details. So I called the person at Strange who Josh ordered from and he says he hasn't heard from Josh. Another damn week and still nothing. I placed this order on 3-14 and as of now they haven't even started making it. unreal

I thinks its 90 days but not positive.

i'm one of the people on that list of rearends Josh is ordering. deep breath man, you'll get your parts. have you not dealt with aftermarket parts manufacturers before? I know a buddy of mine waited 4 months to get his liberty t56. it's not CustonSSI's fault that Stange can not give proper estimates, and sometimes shet DOES happen. he's got my money too and I took my 9" out and sold it, so i'm on jackstands.... but it's still a bit early to post negative threads about vendors.

I got my rear from moser....had it within 3 days.....it was all pcs so I had to assemble it all.

Maybe josh should get to the bottom of it and let everyone know whats up......If I had 2 grand floating around for 6 weeks I would be really pissed not knowing what was up.

Its not Strange. I have spoke with them and Josh. They have not recieved a payment from him. Strange has our orders on hold. I placed my order with him on 3-14-08 so you take a breath. And yes I have been dealing with aftermarket co. for 22 yrs.

hahaa you act like I put my order in two weeks ago.....seriously....take a min and grow up - it will work out and you'll be happy. Strange DID have a 4-5 week back order on their product - I was told that up front. one-two weeks late past is not a crisis...


you say you got 22 yrs experience, then you should know the deal - i've only been in the game 7 years and seen this many times over whith numerous vendors. it really will work out.

I am not going to argue with you. I know there was a 4-5 week lead time. What I am saying is its been 2 months and they have not even started my order yet. I hope you are correct and it works out. If you would like I can pm you the name and ext. of the person at Strange. He will tell you what is going on. I spoke with him friday and he had heard nothing from Josh since tuesday of last week.

Again I hope it does work out.
