UCF STUDENTS: good Calc 2 teachers?
Today's been a crappy day, and I'm dropping my calc 2 class. This guy's name is shigamooggi or something like that. Don't take him.
Who has taken calc 2 and got a good teacher? I'll be re-taking it next semister if I can, and I won't be taking it with this moron again.

Dude, we're like 3 weeks into the semester and you're dropping classes already?
I say tough it out till at least midterms since you're going to pay for it anyways at this point.
Its been a loooong time since I took Calc II, I had some large indian guy for a profg and he sucked too but I made it. Now that I think of it I never had one decent math professor at UCF. Hell I didnt even have one who could speak decent english.

I had Dunlop-Pyle. She was pretty good, of course it helps to have known about 90% of the material before starting the class. I would try to tough it out, if you haven't dropped it already. Go to the math lab in the MAP building if you need help. I think that Calc II is the easiest out of all of them, you should be able to get through it.

well we had our first test today... he said study the homework, but yet on the 5 question test, 1 homework-like problem was on the test. there was one graph which i should have known, and 3 proofs that we never knew we had to know... not fun
i guess i could stay till the next test before i drop it, but i'd still like to gather a list of good calc 2 teachers.
my trig and calc 1 teachers were great, best math teacher's i've ever had even in high school. i wish they taught calc 2.

What trig tieacher did you take?
I took it twice at UCF and Failed it twice...
Funny since I aced Trig in highschool, twice
once was the teacher was ok, but the class was at 8am, and it was my first semester up here, too much pating, and last time I took trig I had a Russian lady that did not speak english, and yelled at you when you didn't wehn you asked her to say what she said again.
hehe I had a lab person for cgs2100 named Avinash Tekewade, you can imagine h0ow much I understood what he said.
I'll ask my g/f's roomate she is a aerospace engineer, she might know some good teachers.

i never knew the name of that teacher. it was a woman that looked like she was late 30's maybe early 40's. sort of round, real nice lady.
my calc teacher yesturday basically said "tough ****" when 95% of the class complained about how it was impossibly hard, but today after he graded them he is offering 2 more questions in class on friday for 30 more points onto your test grade... which means the tests were really really bad.
i've decided that if i get less than about 60 on this test i'm dropping the class, cause its 1/4th of my final grade for that class, and i don't need a D or F to **** up my good GPA. a C would already distroy it, but i'll take a C just to get the credit out of the way.

Just a thought......
Why don't you guys just take your math classes at VCC.......the credits transfer over and they're alot easier from what i hear. I'm taking my Calc 1 class over there so i don't have to take any math at UCF.
This was a suggestion several ppl told me that had failed at UCF and were taking it at VCC.

i've been told to take my physics classes over at SCC...
the UCF math department from what i've been told is 99% non-american. i guess i was lucky and got the only two american born teachers for my first two semisters.
