Well lets not forget the 3 people (2 Americans & 1 Russian) abord the Space Station. It can't be run without people on it. Just a note. Man what another horrific day. Prayers go out.

Can you guys tell me what happened? I didn't see anything on the news? Only thing I've seen about Florida lately was the postal truck carjacking. What are they doing to the space program?

again, this is a tragic time for the united states. i feel badly for what happened.

now for the similarities.

january is a bad month for NASA. the apollo program rocket exploded on the launch pad.

on jan 28, 1986 challenger went down at 150,000 ft. columbia 200,000ft.

both shuttles begin with the letter C
columbia 1st shuttle in space. challenger 2nd.

there were 7 astronauts on both shuttles that were destroyed.

they were sending another teacher into space at the end of the year. it was the backup teacher for christa mcaluff.

I feel bad for the families, but it is time our government stops letting the lowest bidder win the contract. Would you buy a car that was built the cheapest or one built the best.
