NAIROBI, KENYA - In the search for alternative sources of oil outside the politically volatile Middle East, the US is increasingly turning toward a place not normally seen as a major energy producer: sub-Saharan Africa.
The region's crude oil production surpassed 5 million barrels a day in 2000 – more than Iran, Iraq, Venezuela, or Mexico. The US currently gets 16 percent of its oil imports from sub-Saharan Africa – almost as much as from Saudi Arabia. And, according to projections by the National Intelligence Council, that proportion will reach 25 percent by 2015, surpassing the entire Persian Gulf. The vast majority of it will come from a stretch of coastline between Nigeria and Angola called the Gulf of Guinea.

This post is a waste. But it is nice to see the likes of Lab and BlackRocketZ stand up for the country they live in. I've lost 7 friends/coworkers in the years I've spent here in the Middle East and to be honest it turns my stomach how fast people forget those innocently killed. Some of us give up holidays and birthdays, missing wives, children, friends and family while we try to do right around the world. Hell I've spent 7 months away this year alone and some give up a lot more and don't get to come home. If you're against the US and it's policies, you know what? You are in luck, it's a free country and you can GET THE F#@K OUT. Have that liberty or freedom in Iraq? You'd be shot and most likely your family would too. No offense just the freedom lover in me getting pissed off. To the moderator, I love this site but you may want to lock this thread since it's of no good use. Good bless the US of A...
Thats right its a free f%$#ing country. And If my *** wants to critisize the worst president of all time, better believe my rights dictate that I can do that without having to leave this country.
So let me get this straight. Dont hold to my beliefs, dont follow my convictions, dont look at what a terrible job is someone is doing as long as that person is the prez of the United States? Yep...thats what democracy is all about. Dont like it.....leave.
Yuck.

Critisize the worst President ever? Now I'm confused, I thought you LIKED Clinton. My bad, feel free to critisize that cheat and liar as much as you like. He is the worst thing to happen in a long time. Unless of course you're Chinese, looking for an overnight vacation in the White House or need some nuclear secrets. He did a lot to stop terrorism as well like, um... Gimme a minute, I'll think of something. He did get along well with the ladies and thats what is important when you lead a country. Glad to see you and I are on the same sheet of music buddy. I despise him almost as much as I despise spineless whiners who argue narrow minded, unpopular points to seem smarter than everyone else and then cry foul if you don't agree. I don't think I'll be wasting any more time on this BS. Keep rambling if you wish but I think I'm done. Good night and God bless the US of A...
Narror minded arguments?
Ok this coming from the dude who says
"If you dont agree with me or Bushy Leave the country" Yeah, your not a flaming hypocrite.
The same person who hates Clinton for either one of two reasons.
1. Hes a democrat (that brought about the most posporous era in over 7 generations)
2. He got a blow, and lied about it.
Instead, youd rather hang your hat on a convicted drunk driver...Wife beater. Yep, lets see the choice is either hate a guy who likes sex or a real Man who punches women....nice choice. Just think...could of been your street he was driving down drunker than hell and hit your kids while he was intoxicated.
Now that the whole world is poking fun at our prez. You fallen into the "If you dont like it your not a patriot" campaign that Bush's aides liked to point at people who dont agree. Yeah reeeeeeaaaaaaaaal cool. "Hey you don't agree with me, your Un-AmUrican, and not a patriot" I guess over half the nation is not patriotic, because over half dont want any part of this war.

DUI was a long time ago. Wife beating? Never heard that until now.
Bush has had the hardest start to a presidency since Truman.
Economy was going down before he took office. 9/11 Remember that. (Iam sure it will be forgotten soon by most). Anthrax attacks. And I dont mean the band. DC sniper. And every hollyweird type who dont know crap getting on their soap box because he could care less about them, unlike Clinton.
If you think Clinton was a good prez, great. But he is old news.
Now is what I am worried about. And GW is doing all he can. With his hands tied behind his back by a rabid liberal press and squeeky wheel dems who wont let the election go.

BlackRocketZ....
Before we let a political conversation get out of hand, lets just agree to disagree.
Make no bones about it. When it comes down to it, Ill always back my president. If he says war....Ill disagree to all high hell (up until this point at least with all kinds of evidence pointing towards Bush making this a personal vendetta) but he's still Our Prez weather I like it or not and will back our boys that will serve. I am a former Army person, and know how a chain of command works.
Every president has problems. Thats going to happen regardless, but just so you know...I did not vote for Clinton the his first term. Nor his second term. Though I would of. I am not a Democrat or Republican.....I am a guy who wants the guy whos going to do the job right. I personally dont have problems with getting caught copping BJ's and trying to cover them up....what politician doesnt outright lie? Seriously....like this one "Read my lips, NO NEW taxes!!" It kind of comes with the territory...but I do expect the country to be ran well and things to be as prosporous as they can be. Which I see Bush II not doing.
