I'm going to get new spark plugs and ignition wires for my 95. Should I just go with the factory GM wires or should I upgrade? Aftermarket? Shoot me some opinions

 

Taylors are the best plug wires atleast it was for me, MSD's the boots are too big and hit the headers but thats assuming if you have aftermarket headers not sure on stock. If your gonna keep your car with regular bolt ons factory is more then fine.

 

I prefer MSD wires myself. Great clearance on the boots with both stock manifolds and headers. For plugs, go with NGK Iridiums.

Everything is stock. Soon I'll start my basic bolt ons but like you guys said the factory work fine with them. I'm just going to use champion spark plugs and get new GM wires. I was pretty sure this is the way to go but just checking if there was any major advantage of using anything different. Thanks guys

 

I'd go with the MSD 8.5s. Pricey but very nice wires.

I've seen a lot of people rag on the Taylors but I know many people run them without issue, including Z28Roxy.

 

AC-Delco stock wires will work well for you.

 

I have MSD 8.5 super conductors and regular NGK TR55s (not iridiums) my wires dont touch my Pacesetters at all and all the wires zip tie out of the way easily

 

get stock plugs also.....

the ACdelco ones that came in it.

 

So looks like I'm just going to the local GM dealer and picking up a set of factory AC Delco plugs and wires eh? And the factory wires will work when I get my pacesetter lt's? Mods are coming soon and I don't want to have to change the wires again.

 

Shop somewhere else than your local GM dealer. GMpartsdirect.com or Jason Cromer in FL. Look around a little, you ll save lots of money over your local dealer.

 

AC/Delco dealers will be less than going through GM Parts.

Thats a good price for the wire set, I'll go to my local GM dealers tomorrow and see what their price is for the wire set, if its more that these, which is likely, I'll order these. And the AC-Delco plugs are only 10 bucks! I love online shopping, never will I buy from local dealers again.
