OBD I - Can't read codes - No SES Flash

I have a 94 camaro z28 and I am trying to read the ses codes with an actron reader from advance auto. When I plug the reader in and turn on the key, the fans come on and the car acts like it should. It locks the shifter in place so it can't be driven and such. The problem is that the ses light doesn't flash at all. No code 12, no nothing. I checked the fuse for the cigar/horn and it is fine.

What do you think would cause this?

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

You need a real scanner. You cannot flash codes on a 1994 LT1 f-body.

I am confused, the box says it will work on a 94? Why would they lie?

Unfortunately, it won't work. '93 is the last year for shorting the pins. As was said, you need a real code reader or scan tool. If you still have the receipt, take it back.

Because they don't know what they are talking about. Trust us.... IT WILL NOT SCAN YOUR 1994 PCM. Take it back and get your money back.
