so i spent the greater part of saturday replacing the opti on my formula. everything was goin smooth until it was time to start it up again. all it wants to do is sit there and turn over. we arent getting any spark from the coil and i went ahead and replaced the coil and the ignition coil module too and still no spark. if anyone can give me some type of information on this i would really really appreciate it.

 

Did you index the opti correctly and check the electrical connector for any corrosion or contact issues?

 

i do not know what indexing the opti means lol im new to the opti and all the connectors are clean on everything

 

It means there is a certain way it is supposed to be installed. If you did not know that, then it's probably not. The stub drive shaft of the opti is indexed into the back of the opti and also the cam gear.

 

when we put the opti back we lined the notches on the little shaft that connects the opti and the motor together but other than that we didnt notice anyother way to install it. thanks for being helpful btw i really appreciate it

 

Have you checked it for codes?

 

yea we checked for codes today with a gm tech 2 and nothing came up, the opti isnt brand new i bought it used from another member on here and i think he might have screwed me over.
