looking to add 1.6 rrs to my 93z. not looking to cam it in the future, mileage is 100,000 do want to spin a bearing. need suggestions on best setup to gain most hp.parts and part numbers and everything else needed. my car has cai.hooker exhaust,2800 stall, built tranny, suspension mods.thanks snareman
The minimum would be some good quality non-sa RRs, springs, quide plates, hardened pushrods, valves seals, and 7 degree locks.
The increased ratio is what determines the increase in power, however, your goal is to get the best combination of parts to ensure a stable valve train providing the best control of the valves.
You will bet varying opinions as to brands, but I advise you to get the best that you can afford as far as quality and proven performance.
As far as springs, I'd advise going with some double springs with good pressures rather than just going with ones with marginal specs.
Deciding on your combination by listening to the experienced members on this board and getting all your parts from one vendor who offers the best prices, including the cost of Shipping, Handling and customer service is the way to go. JMHO.

And...although you pr length will probably remain the same, make certain that the vendor will let you return the prs for a different length if after checking the geometry of your setup that the stock length is not going to work. I doubt this will be the case, however it is important to check the geometry before you even adjust the rockers.
