looking to relocate alternator....and keep PS

well, my car is a street car...so I need to keep my power steering
Unfortunately, I must also move my alternator for my build

I do not have A/C, so I was looking at either
A) trying to move the alternator where the AC normally is
B) finding a way to move the alternator to the driver side

Does anybody have any ideas?
Ive heard of a kit to move the alternator to the driver side, but I cannot find it for the life of me

"Search".... there is a thread with photos of an alternator moved to the A/C position, with an idler bolted where the alternator would normally go. The amount of "wrap" on the alternator drive is a bit skimpy, but the guy claims it works.

yeah, I saw that. I was wondering if there was an actual place that would do it, because I don't think that will work for what I need if the idler pulley is where the alternator normally is for height

these are all the pages I have bookmarked over the past regarding alternator relocation. they may or may not have relevance to what you want to do, but it's a start.

Why do you NEED to move it? I have tall valvecovers and shaft rockers with the alt in stock location.....have the sheetmetal valvecovers notched.

Look up Turbo_6 on here, he had Thunder do his with no goofy looking pullies mounted up top.(I dont remember any anyway)

IDK if that would even give me enough room. I need room for a 2.5" pipe to run through there, and then some clearance on both sides so stuff isnt rubbin

I HAVE seen them mounted on the drivers side down low before, that would be what you really need.

A couple of things:

1. I posted about this topic, (for the umpteenth time) back in Nov, and you PM'd me asking about the bracket I made mention of and I explained how you would go about setting it up, with a pic included.

2. The same explanation I gave you in that PM can be found in a couple of the links that "Zigroid" posted. The pic that can be found in those links is the same as the one I sent you in the PM.

Based on those two pieces of information alone, the fact that you're still here asking about this again suggests that you're beyond help. If the issue of how to mount your accessories is this hard for you to figure out, then I'm sorry, but you're in way over your head wrt a turbo setup.

like I said, read the thread. I know what was origional asked, and, I also said that I cannot change it to where the alternator is where the AC was, and the pulley is up top. No need to be a dick about it.

I know I could use the zoops kit and madman kit, and that may be what I ultimately end up doing. but I was looking for other solutions as well.
