lets talk about alternator relo brackets

is the a brackett hat puts the alternator where the a/c compressor is. i dont want it on the other side of the motor, i am getting rid of the a/c

also i dont want the pully up on top where the old alternator was.


is there a kit for this?

Hate to break it to ya, but all the LT1 alternator relocation brackets I've seen that still retain power steering move the alternator to the other side of the engine. Here's the closest, (and nicest), setup I've seen that sounds like what you're wanting:

Keep in mind, even though these brackets are displayed on a 1st gen SBC engine, all the bolt spacings on the SBC are the same as on the LT1. (Accessory bolt holes on the heads and the block.)

Something else that's kind've cool about this setup is that you can do away with your remote power steering reservoir.

yes they do. i cant recall who makes them but you should be able to search and find them.

the pic has a 1LE A/C delete pulley in place, but A/C will fit

Have you tried putting the threaded hard line on the PS pump yet? It gonna fit?

got alt. relocation done, used a manual rack and no a/c

Thats a nice setup right there, did you make the brackets to put the alternator where you have it, or is there a kit for that? Thats exactly what I am looking for.
