retartde question

alright well here it goes......im putting in a 160 thermo mon night, question is do i need a gasket or silicone or rtv or anything or just use the ring its coming with? shoebox.com said only o ring is required but i question that. thanks in advance

You can trust information on shoebox's site 100%. We all use it so often that any mistakes on there would have already been called out a long time ago.

It's really good for part numbers too. I was just looking for throttle body gasket numbers. Yep, he had them.

Are you sure you got the correct t'stat for an LT1, and not the generic one for a Gen 1 SBC? It should have had the rubber ring already in place on the 'stat.

PS.... I always thought Shoebox looked a little "shady".
