oil pressure off the charts

ok, so today i installed my lt4 springs, 1.6 rr's, 7.200" cromoly pushrods...

anyway, i di my valves with each cylinder at TDC then i installed my rr's and set the preload to 3/4 turn past zero...
i am using a 10wX30 motor oil...

at idle my pressure is 40 but when i get into the throttle it pegs out way past 80...

before the swap in would max out at 65-70...

what do you think is the reason for high pressure...

The work you did should not have had any effect on oil pressure. Do any messing around by the oil pressure sensor?

It's possible something was dropped into the heads and clogged something up causing higher pressure. You changed the oil before you started her back up?

i am pretty certain that nothing fell in...

i did not change the oil however it is fresh (only about 300 miles)

could it have anything to do with the moly grease that i used...

Hook up a mechanical gauge to verify the reading.

gauge will have adapters to tap in to the pressure circuit...there should be a pressure port over the filter(area)
or you could just remove the sender and put it in there....either way
