Remove Entire Exhaust?

I'm trying to go through all the solutions to a louder, higher flowing exhaust, so now I have to ask you guys...

What would happen if I got some new headers but totally took out the rest of my exhaust (muffler, cat converter, piping)...?

Also, what's this kit? It looks like there's an exhaust tip as part of the kit. I'm confused lol...

Don't get rksport headers or even anything from them there expensive and kind of crappy. Get pacesetter headers that are still street legal so you can put your o2 sensors and get magna flow hi flow cat on ebay for $55 and get a magna flow cat back exhaust and an o2 sim if you have o2 after cat. You also don't need larger than 2.5in. check this place out http://www.lmperformance.com/

running open headers you will not only be illegal, but obnoxiously loud. Might be fun for the first mile or so.

Good ideas! I checked out LM Performance and eBay and my best bet is probably eBay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...960088580&rd=1

For the same price of just the exhaust system on LMP, I can get a high flow cat, the system, and free shipping on eBay!

Re: Remove Entire Exhaust?

just get a cutout. it'll give you basically the same effect

and i would suggest getting pacesetter headers over RK Sport. Just make sure you get the coated ones.

And a piece of advice, have an exhaust shop put em on if you dont have a welder. I put on a cat back set from flowmaster...went to a mechanic to have em weld it and wow, hit a bump and theres a nice teeth gritting CLANK. And now its starting to sag a bit, sux to be me i guess...

Re: Remove Entire Exhaust?

you can't really run open headers on a computer controlled car....

unless you extend the collectors, you'll likely have fresh air that'll sneak into the end of the collector and massively screw up the O2 sensor readings.

you should have a MINIMUM of 14-16 inches of pipe between the end an the O2 sensors.
