shift light

where should i hook up the tach wire?

A lot of people wire theres into the ignition coil I know that much. Where exactly into the coil, I'm not so sure.

The switched side of the ignition coil is where you want to pick it up. But i don't see the point of running a wire all over your engine compartment. IMO, much cleaner to pick it up at the PCM locations listed above. And yes, i just quoted myself,

Pre 96s should be able to use the white/black stripe wire to the coil if you don't want to use the tach wire.

i wired my light directly to the coil. worked great!!

I spliced it into the wire running to my factory tach, in the dash.

alright, thanks guys. i will probably just hook to the computer since my wire is coming out the hole right under it.
