Search not working correctly

Search keeps coming up with no results although there is plenty of them. Esp on 3 letter works like "cam"

Thanks

If I try search all forums for any 3 letter word it won't work, but always did before, I even tried a * and no go. I just tried Cam, BMR, MTI and UMI with no results?

The minimum word length is currently set to 4. I'll need to change this back to 3.

In the future, you may also want to narrow down your search terms to particular forums, and not do such a broad search.

If you can change it back to 3 that would be great. I was trying to research suspension companies for my next purchase, so 4 letters does no good for UMI or BMR

Thanks

Jason/Chris, I'm having this issue too.

I've noticed that if I initially do a search, and the results I get are too narrow, I will add another word or two or change something up a bit and I still get the exact same results back on the search and I know that not ALL of those results meet the new criteria.

Also in the corner it says something about this search was generated 2 minutes ago which was about when my ORIGINAL search took 2 minutes to generate and seems to be displaying those results... not my most recent ones.

I can test the parameters a little more if you'd like, or if you've already got a feel for it, go ahead...

To add to this I just realized something else. If I'm searching for a thread where, for example, I said something, and have a few keywords, I put my name in and the keywords... it now seems to be going by the "OR" guideline, maybe? I put in three terms, two of the three 4 letters or more (it didn't complain about the 3 letter one) and most of the results I was getting I only used one of those terms, not both.

Yeah I have been seeing that too. If I search for 3 specific words I get results that only have 2 of them or less, sometimes not even related.

Example last night I searched for "Autometer fuel level" and got threads with none of those. I did a specific search for title only with those same 3 words and get results with only one of them in it.
