Good idead for the forsale forum..

I just started posting over on www.extremeoverclocking.com in the forums and they have a forsale section such as we do.. only they wont even let you in that part til you have over 50 posts... We should do something along those lines here, save us all them same day sign-up people already posting for sale items. Its a little thing we could do that might help someone not get scammed.... They seem to have a very similar setup with this forum as here...

Check it out...

Yeah, we thought of something like that, but if someone wants to sell something bad enough, they will just fill up the rest of the board with empty posts to get their account up to 50. It can be done in about an hour. They could make a post in a quiet part of the board and reply to it 49 times and then hop right over to the For Sale section and start selling.

We should do something along those lines here, save us all them same day sign-up people already posting for sale items.
That would also hinder those who are new and honest and have some parts they are looking to get rid of. If they have to wait for 50 posts, they'll just go elsewhere to sell them.

There are two parts to a scam. One person who is doing the scam, and the other person foolishly sending them their money without investigating the situation. It is easier for someone to just use common sense and protect themselves. Sometimes a deal is so good that people decide to take a gamble...and sometimes they lose

Anyway...is it a good suggestion but won't do much good, IMO.
