Shine is somewhat subjective (though it can be measured)...... so I wont even argue that.

However, if you think it Gold Class lasts as long as Zaino, you are fooling yourself. It is not even close. Zaino will last months and months and months... Gold Class will a few weeks, maybe a month, depending on if it rains or how often you wash the car.

Also, Zaino will layer. Gold Class will not... so with each application of Zaino, you add more protection. With each layer of Gold Class, you lose the old layer, assuming there was any left to begin with.

With Zaino, ya, you pay shipping... $8. But, unless you live in New Jersey, you dont pay tax on it either, so it is almost a wash, plus I can sit back and wait for it to come to me, for what that is worth.

And finally, Gold Class is not any cheaper than Zaino if you do all the proper detailing/prep steps with both products. Clay Bar is not exclusive to the Zaino line... Meguire's has a clay bar too (but it is junk)... Meguires has a Quick Detailer, not unliek Zaino's Z6... etc etc etc...

exactly.

I agree with the statement that Zaino is only alright.
the same work??? it takes forever to get wax off if you are not using a buffer. With 3 coats of zaino in one day, i feel fine the next day. With ANY wax (including Meguires) my arm is killing me, and that is just one coat, cuz you can only do one. wax = more effort, doesn't last long, Zaino = less effort, lasts much longer.

I don't think Zaino is the god of all cleaning products, but it is the best I've ever used. Let me add, I used Meguires for years and liked it. Then I found a better product, Zaino.

I am a professional detailer with my own business. I do know the difference. And I DO know that my customers have always been MORE pleased with their cars with Zaino than with anything else.

I have always wondered if Z lasts long because of how many coats you guys put on your car. I mean 6 coats, that **** better last a year!

It's only recommened that Zaino be applied twice a year. The reason people put so many coats on is because the stuff layers, and each coat gives more gloss/shine.

All I have to say is...............stay away from Zymol products.............because once you hit their Estate line of waxes, there is no turning back.

I've tried various brands of wax and Zaino, and they are fine products. Perhaps I should've stayed with meguiars or mothers.

On the serious side, the only way you can answer the question of which is better is to try Zaino for yourself, and see whether it or any synthetic or natural wax product will exceed your expectations in quality of paint protection, shine and durability.

I love Zaino.. sure it's not the cheapest stuff around but you get what you pay for. After about 4-5 application of Zaino and Z6. My sister, who knows nothing about cars, keeping their shine etc, told me she noticed a difference and asked if I was doing something different.

Not only do the reliablility and performance of all the Zaino products impress me. But the fact that I bought the starter kit for around $90 American, and it has now been exactly one year, and I am only about half done everything. My wash solution is just below half and I use every other day.

Finaly.. the actualy products aside, the service is immaculate. On my order form that I faxed in.. I had, by mistake, put down that I wanted the zaino for non-clear coat cars instead of the one for clear coats. Mike, who works for the Canadian Guelph Zaino distributor, phoned me personaly the next day to confirm whether it was a mistake or not. Saved me a hadache and money. Now how many other companies would do that?

I'll take my Zaino

Exactly... it's just that extra mile that Zaino goes. They don't have to, but they do. Thats what made me a lifetime customer.

I could e-mail the company owner, Sal Zaino, right now.. and I would have a response within days. (and yes I have e-mailed him and have asked for advice on a problem I had, and he replied personaly with an answer I followed and was very pleased with) How many other products can you do that with?

I ama sorry but I am hooked on Zaino for life...

I have used Zymol, Meguaris gold class(I actually liked zymol better)

And zaino has them beat hands down, the shine is marginally better its nothing night and day... but the touch of zaino is amazing... feels smoother then the glass on my car... I put zaino on my painted zr1s, best thing I ever did. I had them off the car waiting for tires so I put on about 3-4 coats of zaino on. I didn't touch the rims for a month, and maybe 1800 miles... I wiped them with a wet rag while washing the car and everything came immediately off... I am about ready to give my wheel cleaner away after that... I have never cleaned wheels that easily in my life without wheel cleaner. Nevermind the increased shine.

As for my car... want to know what I do to clean it at times... I go down to the carwash station in my aparmtent complex, hose my car down, and drive away. Looks better then my girlfriends car with more then half the miles after I get her car done at a local car detailer, with there $50 car detailing(I get it free through work, wouldn't let them touch my car though) Only problem I had doing this was a few water spots on my rear bumper.

The other day I had ungodly amounts of pollen on my car(not sure that it coudl be explained unless you live in central FL now) then it rained, the rain actually made it looked liek my car was washed, rinced everything off. I was impressed I mean the car afterwards was what it looked like if I washed and waxed my 94 camaro with zymol, but my zainoed '00 felt much smoother.

I have like 7-8 coats of various z5 and z2, and I use z6 between every coat... I use ZFX with it. And this stuff will last you forever if you get there started kit.

If anyone doesn't like Zaino... post what you have I most likely will be willing to buy your old zaino stuff. My plans once I move into my girlfriend's and I new townhouse with 2 car garage is to zaino the car every weekend or every other weekend. I want this as close to perfect by the time I move...

currently my car is an outside car only, I like to zaino it when I visit my parents for a weekend, they have a 3 car garage so if it starts raining, I like to let the zaino sit on for a few hours before I remove it and by the way... with zaino, you can put it on leave it on over night and 12 hours later take it off with ease. I sometimes had a hard time with normal waxes waxing the hole car, getting a drink then taking it off...

The initial prep is rough, took me like 6-8 hours... but after that, its a joke... you jsut wash the car and it looks just as great as the first time, everything comes off, bird crap, just falls off... It really brought back alot of metallic flake back to my paint up close... Which I didn't know my car really had. People say the work is really hard but its not. Its actually the best looking, most maintenance free car I have had to clean once I put zaino on... Ever since I started doing it my dad has been begging me to drive down to there house and put a few coats on his car... but I like my current plan to drive down do my car and drive the vette around while I let my car sit in that garage all weekend and I just keep adding coats and coats.

either way click the link in my sig for pics... I am sold on zaino...

I've tried about everything for 30 years. After skeptically trying Zaino abou 6 years ago I was sold. Haven't used anything else since.

It seems the people who do not like Zaino or think there are too many steps, etc. NEVER used Zaino, so how would they even be able to comment on it.
