Waxing W/a Buffer
Kevin will correct me if I am wrong. But unless you are using the buffer with a polish, the wax will be no better off with the buffer. There are no advantages in using a buffer to apply a wax. Now if you were using a polish which contain a light abrasive then a buffer would help.

Thanks
I use Meguiars gold class wax. It's good, it brings out a deep shine, but seems to attract dust, and doesnt seem to last more than a month. I apply by hand with a foam applicator and remove with a 100% terry cloth. It reduces the visibility of a lot of swirls (depending on the severity of them).
Just use the Meguires 1,2,3 system,,,It has the paint cleaner, wax, and polish included...
