Among the items I have lefted over after switching from carnuba to Zaino is my orbital buffer. Is there any advantage, disadvantage or improvement by using a wool pad covered orbital buffer after wiping the Z2/Z5 or Z6 off with a 100% cotton towel. The shine is already incredible. Will this help in curing by removing any unseen microfilm residual product?

First off...you never want to use a rotary buffer without a polishing compound, etc. Dry buffing paint will leave swirl marks because there is nothing to lube the paint. As long as the paint is taken care off before using Zaino or any other protectant(removing swirl marks, scratches, oxidation,etc.) you shine is the best it can get after the protectant goes on. Second... you don't want to use a rotary buffer to often because once you remove more then .3 mils(give or take) of clear off a factory paint job then clear will start to fail. If you want to use a buffer more often try using a oribital or DA, these don't create excess heat and are safe for applying and removing waxes, polishes, etc.

 

I'm sorry!!! I should have stated the question using a orbital buffer. I do not own or have the expertise to use a rotary. Thanks for the newbie error detection.

If you used a buffer to apply the Zaino polish you will end up wasting ALOT of the product and it is so easy to apply there is simply no need to use a buffer. As far as removal, it is also VERY easy to remove, no buffer needed.
