I just checked with my body shop owner man, he said they have not sprayed Acrylic Enamel in 3 or 4 years, and you rarely ever see anyone spray a clear coat on top of Acrylic Enamel, he told me your paint job is either a single stage paint with no clear coat or they have used the quicky intergrated clear coat like Earl Shcebb or Maaco uses.

The modern paint that almost all cars are sprayed with now is Urethane. In Urethan you can have single stage Urethane and the much, much more common for modern cars base coat/clear coat Urethane.

He told me Acrylic Enamel is not very durable, he has seen it peel and crack in about a year, year and half. And it is bad about oxidizing.

Car wash does not matter, just pick up some Meguiars, Mothers, Rain Dance, any kind.

If your Zaino is for Christmas you might as well wait till then to Zaino the paint as your car was painted with an older kind of paint that cures slower and would need to out gas.
