Ever since I started racing I've had problem a) getting the shoe polished numbers off the windshield b) with the little white flakes sticking all over the place.

Well today I had an epiphiany ... claybar Used claybar and windshield cleaner as a lubricant. It worked great, the shoe polish came right off and no little white flakes floating around

Or you could just wetten it with metho and water mix... and use a blade? Making it wet helps so the lettering doesnt flake etc and stick to the rest of your car.
