Floormatts in the washer % dryer. Is this OK to do?

Floormatts in the washer % dryer. Is this OK to do?
I got a couple of small grease and dirt stains on my floormatts. Is it ok to throw them in th eash to clean them? Has anyoen done this before?
I have the neutral interior (light beige) in my 01' Camaro. It tends to show dirt and other stains very well.

I personally wouldnt do that. The heat of the dryer would probably mess up the rubber backing on most floor mats. Heres what I'd do:
Get a can of degreaser or stain treater (Simple Green, Greased Lightning, Lifter One) and treat the affected areas. Then take your mats to the quarter car wash and use the high pressure soap and high pressure rinse. I do this every once in a while, and my mats still look new after everything I've put them through.
Another word of advice: Once they are all clean and nice lookin, get some 3M Scotch-gard on 'em. That stuff really works.

I tend to agree completely with SS.
I think machine washing would be a bit too rough. So, I use my personal favorites, Lifter1 and ScotchGuard. With Lifter1 all you need is a nice big towel or several cotton rags and a soft bristle brush. That stuff gets my carpets amazing clean, after a little bit of work. And, like SS said, the ScotchGuard helps keep the dirt or stains from embedding, making cleaning much easier.
Oh, I'd also recommend you invest in a good Shop Vac! Those make quick work of the loose dirt or debris and are a must IMHO.
